A beautiful house in an idyllic location with very generous hosts who cater beautifully for guests. A very memorable stay and I am now determined to grow artichokes as Chris has taught me. Highly recommended.

A lovely B & B in a quiet Cotswold village with access to walking paths & quick drive to nearby towns. The owners were so lovely & welcomed us with their 2 dogs & an American flag. The bedroom was comfortable & bathroom had lovely products with a warming towel rack. The food was delicious in the comfort of their dining area/ living space. We felt like family
It says a lot when you leave a property early and forfeit the money on your stay. However, the hosts here didn’t bat an eye. As some other reviews have noted, this is a one guest bedroom B&B without an en-suite bathroom. You are literally staying in someone else’s house and you feel it. We arrived at 5pm smack in the middle of the published 4pm to 7pm check in time. We were immediately greeted with a passive/aggressive “I didn’t know when you were arriving and we have other things to do” remark from the lady of the house. A lovely welcome! She could have emailed us or called but I think she would rather complain. Then we are told to take our shoes off like kids at a friends house. She then asked for our breakfast order for the next morning. Feeling the uncomfortableness, rather than asking for a full English breakfast, we opted for something smaller that would take less effort and time. Off to the room which was small with a very low ceiling but with a nice bed. The TV was tiny and so far from the bed as to pointless. The next day, while backing into the tiny parking spot, I brushed a bush and was nastily scolded by the man of the house. We went out for dinner and when we came back, it was obvious our bathroom had been used by a man. I’ll leave it at that. It was so uncomfortable that we just booked another place and left the next morning. These are not the kind of people who should be hosts and they definitely are not polite Brits as one would usually meet.
It was like adream come true. Even though we did not have a car to get around , the owners gave us a contact so we were picked up when we needed it. Otherwise we walked around the most beautiful cottage area, it was peaceful, relaxing and the owners were very enjoyable. The breakfast every morning was very good.
Nicola's breakfasts were wonderful. Full of lovely homemade delicacies. Both Nicola and Chris made us feel welcome and had wonderful insight into the history of this very quiet, little town. My daughter and I recommend highly!
Beautiful heritage property deep in the midst of the breathtaking Cotswold rolling countryside!
