The hotel did not meet expectations or the description online and we had a very disappointing stay. The private bathroom was outside the room across from the stairway with no key given, so anyone could use it even though it was to be private for you. If I knew the private bathroom was not ensuite, I would not have booked this hotel. The bathtub has a hand-held shower spray but water was either scalding hot or cold-difficult to mix to get warm water. Except for the four-poster bed, nothing else was up to standard for a 5 star rated hotel. Sofa behind the bed faced the wall with no coffee table. Kettle and cups on the window sill (no toaster per description), TV screen small as a laptop screen on the other window sill. No paper tissues provided. Internet not so strong. Owner not receptive to feedback and did not indicate that online description would be corrected. This is not even on par with a 3 star hotel.

What a lovely warm reception. Romney made us so welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely place to stay. Buscot Manor is absolutely beautiful. 5 Star all the way (even more).
We have met a a super hostess, a super family and will return to stay whenever we can.
I can only recommend this wonderful B&B.
