Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa All Inclusive

We just got back and really enjoyed our stay. We thought we were upgraded because we had a butler and were staying on the preferred side only to find out we weren’t actually preferred. We weren’t allowed on the adults only section. That was really confusing but we were fine. Food was good, we really liked the steakhouse! If you’re a couple, I don’t recommend this resort. We stayed at a Dreams before that didn’t have a lot of kids but here there were kids everywhere! Totally our fault and we know for next time. The staff was ok. Some were super friendly, others were not. The beach and ocean was wonderful!

Staff is great, the food could have been better. The pools are great, they just shut down to early.

Loved evrything

We upgraded to the Premiere Club. We did this when we stayed in Dreams Macao and it was worth it! At Dreams Onyx, the only benefit we saw was our great concierge, Henry. You are supposed to have a special restaurant for breakfast that is only for the club. The management of this was a mess. You check in with a host at a podium and are told to wait for another host. Then those two would argue which family was next in line. When we were finally sat at a table, no one every came to give us water or take an order. All 5 days - not once. We just took from the buffet instead of ordering and had to stop someone and ask for water and refills. The waitstaff in the "regular" dinning area was much more attentive. Henry booked us a reservation at the Hibachi restaurant which was great! The pools are all really nice and very clean. The beach is nice too. The food at the dinner restaurants was never served hot. The buffet is the same every day. At Macao there were more drastic changes from day to day. All in all, we had a nice time, it just was not our best all inclusive experience.

Everything was not clean in this hotel (pools, plates, cups and rooms) We also found cockroaches in the pool and the hallways. Ants were in the closets and the AC didn’t work first couple days. The noise insulation is also terrible . Never coming back

For the amount of money it was to stay here I dont recommend. They say VIP but I never felt VIP. Woke up everyday sweating from how hot the room was, the fridge did not cool the beverages. After showering the room would flood with water. Not many things to do. Beach was nasty full of algae. Very unsatisfied.
