The Hotel was beautiful, views stunning, staff very accommodating! The only issue is its not in walking distance to either Karon or Patong. This is only a minor, we hired a scooter. Food is a little pricey but other then that it was a lovely, clean, quiet hotel & would definitely recommend a stay there!
I didn’t think you could go wrong with accommodation in Thailand, but I was so wrong what a horrible place to stay and management was horrible to deal with, my concerns went through one ear and out through the other and they talked down to me, which is not on. The rooms are nothing like what they advertised, there is a bad sewerage smell coming out of the bathroom that stinks out the hole room, not to mention that it’s a construction site with power tool nosies all around, the worst part is my 3 year old daughter found a razor blade in our room and was walking around with it, which just freaked me out, management never remove the razor blade from our room once I showed them the photo and complain, they offered me another room which I went to have a look at it stunk like sewerage as well. The place is definitely not kid friendly being up on the hill to make it hard for the children to get around. We also opted for the breakfast how depressing!!! everything was cold bread was 3days old, hard as a rock. I was meant to stay 8 nights I couldn’t checkout out fast enough, I don’t even think we lasted 12 hours. My best advice is to keep away from secret cliff resort you will feel unwelcome if you have any issues they are deceitful, refusing to respond to any emails from me and the company that I booked with regarding a refund which they haven’t done and will not do
The staff not helpful didn't want to call a taxi down into karon dirty pillows with no covers building work is going on
Everything was great except they didn’t have a spa hot tub. they had some construction on at the pool area. The breakfast was so so. The staff was great and the location and views were excellent.
Secret Cliff Resort is a deceptive bait-and-switch. Booked via Hotels.com, lured by promises of Karon Beach proximity and ocean views. Reality: resort is across a busy four-lane highway, far from the beach, and with no ocean views from the rooms we were assigned. Photos on Hotels.com and their own website showcased amenities belonging to the newly opened Anona Sunset Boutique Hotel, not Secret Cliff.
Our "Sunset Villa" was a basic, ant and termite-infested room, with a broken shower and a flooded bathroom. The advertised restaurants, gardens, and panoramic views were completely nonexistent. While there was one pool on the property, it was not the multiple pools or the "Secret Sunset Pool" advertised. Staff were consistently dismissive and unhelpful, refusing to address our concerns or provide manager contact information.
Hotels.com provided absolutely zero support, despite our immediate complaints about the severe location discrepancy and the misleading photos. They hid behind a non-refundable policy and refused to hold Secret Cliff Resort accountable for their fraudulent advertising. We were forced to cut our vacation short and leave early due to the unacceptable and unsanitary conditions, as well as the complete deception.
This experience was a complete waste of time and money, and exposed the shocking inadequacy of Hotels.com. Avoid Secret Cliff Resort at all costs, and be extremely wary of booking through Hotels.com, as they clearly do not prioritize their customers.
