This was an incredible hotel and it was luxury staying in one of the luxury tents. The tents had everything you needed and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
I couldn't speak more highly of the staff, everyone was incredibly kind, helpful and friendly.
The beach was beautiful and I'd highly recommend getting a scooter and visiting the other beaches - especially Sok San! 10/10 stay.

The beach and the hotel were beautiful. We really liked the optional tour they offered. The hotel is, of course, very isolated, which is a major plus IMO. Travelers there might want to make sure to bring any things they need, like sunscreen, beach socks, mosquito repellent, coffee (the room didn't have any), etc.
Nice but the resort should take care the mosquito and make the side walk more Convenience
The concept here is good - beautiful beach and rustic safari tent style accommodation with outdoor shower however the delivery falls short of expectation at this price point. Cleanliness of rooms could be improved as well as dining options given pricing of rooms. Staff do make an effort and are helpful when asked but could sometimes show more initiative. The beach is beautiful but rather spoiled by plastic and rubbish that doesn’t seem to be cleaned up by the resorts (not unique to this one). The nature of the tents means of course that you hear everything in the area which is great if it’s a peaceful evening - if the resort next door decides to hold a beach karaoke party until 1am though then you’re going to hear every out of tune song whether you want to or not.

The management of Tamu (and Anaya - they are same management apparently) seems more interested in revenue maximization than guest experience as a first priority.
In summary, there're better choices in Koh Rong and I DO NOT recommend staying in this overpriced place.
I mean the beach & sea are the same, and in my stay, I did not see any differentiation of services or facilities to justify the much higher prices.
And the exorbitant room rate seems not enough for Tamu:
I stayed on a New Yr eve and was expecting a positive experience to welcome the new year. However, they decided to combine all guests of Anaya and Tamu for a "New Year" dinner which is USD40 per pax (almost half of the room rate if you count 2 pax)
Now money is really not a problem if they pre-communicate about this plan early, respect and give their guests a choice: you can go another place for dinner if you are not willing to pay.
The trick is: this place is secluded and the next town or eating place is a few Km away, and they just told me right at dinner time about this plan i.e. you don't have any choice at all.
This kind of entrapment really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Another advice is to check the sea conditions; in Dec the sea was very rough in Tamu side of the island. This was not the case when I went another part of the island - Oh and to go another part you have to rent a motorbike from Tamu which is US$20 a day.
Be warned friends, these are hidden costs and you might be trapped
The jungle room we got was not in very good condition, the roof was almost falling apart.
Amenities were very nice and the restaurant quality was great!
However, if you want to enjoy your precious holiday time, avoid this destination during rainy months and avoid speed ferry Cambodia as it is a HUGE SCAM. We paid our tickets and before we got into the boat, they maid us pay much more otherwise they didn’t allow us to use our paid tickets. It is not the hotel’s fault but please don’t suggest this option to other hotel guests if you care about their whole experience in koh rong, this transportation to the island ruined our trip.
