I recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. The service was great —the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, always friendly and eager to help. They also had a WhatsApp channel for guests to contact them and their response time was impressively quick, which made communication very convenient.
The location is quite secluded, which offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for those looking to disconnect. However, the maintenance of the villa left much to be desired. The villa exterior is in need of a paint job, the villa felt a bit worn, and cleanliness could be improved—towels and bedsheets had visible spots and stains. Additionally, the water pressure was quite weak, and we experienced a temporary issue with hot water. Thankfully, the staff responded quickly and resolved it.
Food quality was good, though the selection was somewhat limited. Internet connectivity was intermittent.
Overall, while the staff and scenery made the stay enjoyable, the resort could benefit from better upkeep and improved amenities. With some maintenance improvements, it has the potential to be a fantastic getaway.
Not what it used to be !!
We stayed at this place after having such a lovely experience previously. However, this stay was very disappointing. We opted for upsell to the 5 BR villa on check-in which looked lovely in the pictures, but were stuck with a villa that stunk of sewerage the whole time! We reported it and to the credit of the villa manager he tried to get the problem fixed but unfortunately the problem remained until we checked out.
It is understandable that problems can arise at times, but what was most disappointing is that despite our grievances, all we were offered as compensation was the difference between our original booking and the upsell amount.
Management of the resort did not bother to attend to us and would send the villa manager each time even though the problem was not fixed. The ground staff Phian, Abul and our villa manager Juna were nice and attentive and did what they could, but the resort management on this occasion was very poor. This has turned us off returning anytime in the near future which we are sad about.
Hopefully management pick up their game and make this place worth it like it used to be.
Had books through Expedia for multiple nights - horrible mistake. Expedia is the worst and can't seem to provide customers with any support or service.
This property is unfinished, construction and dirt lots on both sides of the "villa" was so far from the front desk, main lobby, other amenities that it was a 5 to 10 min drive. this had to be requested in advance and was only available during certain hours. Impossible to walk, steep hills and bad road conditions on this property prevent you from walking it yourself. Dead lizard in the bathroom, smoke detector started beeping at 5 in the morning. Had to deal with Expedia to get out of the property since the front desk never addressed the smoke detector. WASTED A DAY and was not refunded for the day I was woken up at 5 am by the smoke detector. Lessons learned. Never using Expedia again and do more research on properties before booking.
Where to start...the views are incredible, villa is beautifully designed, delicious food and great staff. The property itself doesn't have the best connectivity phone/ internet. There is some construction going on but we didnt notice much from our villa. As this is still in pre opening I can only imagine the full potential of this place.
Nice view of the Selong Belanak Sea Cove. Great pool, spacious, clean and comfortable interiors.
A lot of construction in progress which mar slightly the overall experience. We initially stayed at 4B Villa but requested for a change due to non availability of tap water initially (had to be turned on by maintenance staff later), incessant presence of monkeys, noises from on-going construction at nearby villas and lack of privacy of the toilets due to their ‘Open design’ concept.
Besides we had regular visitors - lizards, gecko, spiders, scorpions and flies entered the living and bedroom spaces which was not something we were quite used to. Internet WLAN connection could have been stronger.
We shifted to Villa 2D. Although it was smaller and had flight of steps to walk-up to the villa (less suitable for elderly folks), its more comfortable and had better view of the sea. A/C failed in the living room and we experienced power outages but technicians attended to the situation promptly.
