1. Weight Concept
Baggage dimensions and weight for First and Business Classes
- Each piece size and weight must not exceed 158cms and 32kgs max.
Baggage dimensions and weight for Economy class
- Each passenger is allowed to carry two pieces of baggage, with total dimensions not exceeding 273cms, and weight of each piece not exceeding 23kgs.

Cabin Baggage
- The dimensions of the carry-on luggage must not exceed 115cms.
- The passenger is allowed to hold only 1 piece of hand baggage with max. weight of 8kgs.
- You can hold a carry-on luggage of 10kgs maximum in weight for extra charges.
- The excess weight is charged as the following:
- For domestic routes, you will pay SAR26 per kg. (Applicable GST additional)
- Flights from India to USA/UK/Europe/Australia/Canada cost SAR150 per kg. (Applicable GST additional)
- For flights from USA/UK/Australia/Europe/Canada to India, the excess baggage will cost SAR150 per kg.
- Flights from India to all other international sectors will cost SAR56 per kg (Applicable GST additional).

Special Baggage
- Special luggage can be sports equipment, musical instruments and other items.
- Some of the allowed sports equipment are:
- Golfing Equipment
- Snow/Water Skiing Equipment
- Angling Kit
- To transport bulky, fragile items or musical instruments, passengers are asked to pack these items in a suitable way in order to be carried on-board as checked baggage.
- For small musical instruments, expensive or fragile items carriage, passenger is eligible to buy an extra seat, and items must comply to the following rules:
- The weight can not exceed 75kgs.
- Properly packed to avoid any injury incidents.
- Secured in the seat.

Restricted items
Passengers are not allowed to carry on person/in cabin or registered baggage on board the following items:
- Personal items, such as, lighters and scissors.
- Knives.
- Guns and firearms.
- Self defense items.
- Explosive materials.
- Compressed gases.
- Flammable items.

Lost, damaged and delayed luggage
- For international and domestic carriage liabilities, you can refer back to the airline general Conditions of Carriage.
- If the luggage is not received, passengers must contact Air India personnel in the airport arrival hall and fill Property Irregularity Report.
- International flights: If whole checked baggage is delayed for more than 24hrs, the airline makes a refund of one time interim expense of SAR242 to the passenger, while in India the amount is INR 3,000.
- Domestic flights: Passengers may get a 50% of the amount in order to purchase certain clothes, if the entire checked baggage is delivered the following day.
