• In 1998: Oman Air joined IATA.
• In November 2007: Oman Air began operations from Muscat to London Gatwick.
• In October 2009: Oman Air launched service in Paris, Frankfurt, Colombo, Munich, and Male. Moreover, the airline received its first Airbus A330.
