Types of baggage
Airlines divided baggage into 4 categories according to international regulations for safety-wise. Pegasus Airlines defined a set of policies for each category to maintain safety.
- Carry-on baggage (Hand carry bag)
All baggage that customers can carry in the cabin and stored in the overhead compartment, Carry-on baggage has a specific dimension and weight to maintain safety while cruising to your destination.
Checked baggage is always heavier than carry-on baggage, with a big variance in weight because it is stored in the cargo compartment. Airlines have rules for accepting checked baggage according to the aircraft and destination.
There are exceptions with infant baggage, and it differs from one airline to another. You may bring the baby’s infant onboard. It is one standard-sized bag (for items an infant may require during the flight).
It is the type of baggage that differs in size or weight. Each airline has its own policies to maintain safety while cruising. Passengers should know their baggage category to avoid any extra charges.
Pegasus airline has many ticket categories, each has a specific free baggage allowance.
